LIGAMENT
The term ligament is used to denote three different types of structures: "true ligaments" which are the fibrous tissue that connects bones to other bones; a fold of peritoneum or other membrane; or the remnants of a tubular structure from the fetus. Normally, when people use the term “ligament,they are referring to the fibrous tissues that connects bones to other bones.
