BREAST AUGMENTATION
Also known as augmentation mammaplasty, breast augmentation involves using “breast implants” to fulfill your desire for fuller breasts or to restore breast volume that was lost after weight reduction or pregnancy. Breast augmentation has become very common and is largely requested for cosmetic reasons. Some surveys show that most women who had breast reconstruction are glad they did (Source: American Society of Plastic Surgeons 2007). There are still questions surrounding the long-term safety of some breast implants – especially those containing silicone. Women should research all aspects of breast augmentation surgery and discuss the planned surgery with their doctors or health care practitioners before committing to breast segmentation surgery.
